Well we felt that there was a gap in the current market, especially in the UK for a really good magazine devoted to bears. Yes BEARS! The magazine will not feature anything other than them. As the cover says ‘No Twinks ALL BEAR’ and that is an aim we intend on keeping with every issue. Anything from Bears, Cubs, Daddies and Muscle Bears will be featured each and every issue.
We wanted a mag that collected the best of the images from the internet, and also includes images totally exclusive to this publication, along with our very own story section. Admit it, we all like a good read :-)
But not only that, we want to make this YOUR magazine, and by that we are encouraging you to make your own submissions. Each issue, we want to have featured bears, and that could easily be YOU the reader. You can send G rated material or go all the way and show all, if you are comfortable with that, then by all means, we will print it. Fancy yourself as a budding author? Then send us your bear stories as well. Also do you have an idea for an article? Then by all means send that is as well.
Every featured bear, cover bear and writer will receive a free copy of the magazine your submission appears in. Also we will be looking to offer free, yes free, advertising of your bear website, and bear events. All we ask in return for this free service is perhaps we could place a small banner ad promoting our publication on your site.
So why PDF and not paper format? A couple of reasons really: 1. We want to keep the price of the magazine down so that everyone can afford to have their own copy. Anything made from the magazine is going right back into it, for purchasing software, software updates, licences, website upkeep. It is more a labour of love. This IS NOT for profit, we want to bring an affordable option for ALL to enjoy, it is done more in the vein of a 'fanzine'. 2. In the age of the internet, people prefer the more private approach to grabbing their share of material like this, be it partnered people, bi-sexual people, or even str8 people; they can all get to enjoy the magazine with little risk of being 'found out'. Gone are the days of hiding things under the mattress LOL LOL
So there you have it, the start of what we intend on being a long run of this magazine. Let us know what you think, and start sending in your submissions and advertising.
